You will need:

2 square sheets of paper.

1 - 15x15 cm

2 - 12x12 cm.

Scissors

To start with the flower, take the smaller 12x12 cm sheet of paper.

Fold in half to make a triangle.

Open it up, and repeat on the other side.

Now take one side of the triangle and fold it almost all the way up, leaving just a little gap at the top. Repeat on the other side.

Next step, flip around and make a small fold in the 2 outer corners.

The Tulip head is done!  This can now be moved to one side.

Now to start on the stem, take the larger 15x15 cm paper.

Next step, open the paper out and bring the outer edge into the centerline crease, repeat on the opposite side. This should make a kite shape.

Now turn the paper around again, and bring the outer edge into the centerline, and you guessed it… repeat on the other side!

Please take care with each fold as the paper gets thicker.

Now bring the top tip all the way down to meet the bottom tip and then fold lengthways. Your stem should now be able to stand up!

Finally take the flower head and carefully cut off a tiny piece at the bottom. This should make a small opening for you to put the stem through.
